This Finnish holiday cottage offers a peaceful and natural place to relax or work, just a short drive from Ivalo. The atmospheric cottage is heated by a wood stove, and an additional heater ensures comfort during the cold winter months. Bed linen and towels are always included in the price, so you can travel lighter.

The cottage is also suitable for travellers, who can use their own internet connection. Electricity charging points are at your disposal, although there is no WiFi connection.
Well-equipped kitchen
The kitchen is equipped with a mini fridge, kettle, coffee maker, (Nescafe Dolce Gusto) machine and gas stove. Drinking water is provided, and the clean water from Lake Akujärvi is suitable for washing and dishwashing. The cottage has a traditional composting outdoor toilet, but there is no running water in the cottage or the toilet.
Authentic Finnish Sauna experience
Guests have an opportunity to book a wood-fired beach sauna, located 100 meters away by the shore, when they heat the sauna themselves. The accommodation is only 60 meters from the owners’ home, yet the small forest island offers a peaceful sense of privacy. For families and children, there are swings and play equipment to borrow in the yard of the main house. Friendly dogs also live on the property.

The cottage does not have running water, but we deliver drinking water to the cottage. The price always includes sheets and towels. Use of the wood-heated lakeside sauna located on the other side of the yard is included in the price, when guests heat it themselves in the summer time. In the winter there is a separate fee for heating and washing in sauna.

The terrace has 2 chairs and a table. The terrace offers a view to the beautiful Lake Akujärvi and the forest in front. Behind the forest is a residential building. In the summer, the cottage yard has a turning place for a car. There is no inside batahroom but a typical Finnish outdoor toilet. The terrace has chairs and a table for two.
Lake and lake shore description
The beach is shallow and the water of Lake Akujärvi is suitable for washing and swimming.
