Customer
The customer agrees to adhere to these terms and conditions as well as any specific terms applicable to the seller when purchasing products and services from Minna-Carita's online services.
Ordering - General Terms
Prices displayed on the online service include VAT until December 31, 2024. After this date, prices will be VAT-exempt due to limited business activity.
Dynamic pricing applies to accommodation services. Prices depend on the time of booking and vary monthly, weekly, and daily.
Products are sold to individuals over the age of 18 and to business customers.
We reserve the right to change prices.
The customer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the information provided.
We reserve the right to modify our delivery terms. Customers should review the current delivery terms before placing an order.
Reservation Terms
These terms apply to rentable and bookable products and services. Collectively, these are referred to as the "property."
Booking
The customer is responsible for reviewing the description and instructions of the booked property and for familiarizing themselves with the applicable booking conditions.
The booking is binding once the order/payment confirmation has been sent to the customer's provided email address.
The customer must pay for the reservation according to the chosen payment method, adhering to the conditions set for that payment method.
The reservation system sends an order/payment confirmation to the customer's email address.
The seller is not responsible for a failed booking; in such cases, the customer must promptly contact the seller to resolve the issue.
The seller does not guarantee the availability of the property in such cases.
If the property is unavailable, the paid amount will be refunded, or another property will be offered if possible.
Cancellations and Modifications
The cancellation date is the day the seller receives notification of the cancellation.
The customer is responsible for ensuring the cancellation is submitted in time.
Cancellations for Bookings Made via Minna-Carita’s Website (https://www.minnacaritas.fi)
Bookings for the period 1.12.2024–31.3.2025: free cancellation up to 30 days before arrival.
Bookings for the period 1.4.2025–31.7.2025: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival.
Bookings for the period 1.8.2025–30.11.2025: free cancellation up to 14 days before arrival.
Bookings for the period 1.12.2025–31.3.2026: free cancellation up to 60 days before arrival.
If a booking is canceled within the free cancellation period, the paid amount will be refunded.
If the cancellation is made after the free cancellation period or if the customer fails to show up, the accommodation provider will charge 100% of the cancellation fee.
These terms apply to online bookings made directly through Minna-Carita's website. For bookings made through third-party platforms like Booking.com, customers should check the applicable terms directly through the booking channel.
Cancellations for Bookings Made via Minna-Carita’s Email Reservations
Winter Season 2024–2025 (1.12.–17.12.2024 & 7.1.–31.3.2025) and 2025–2026 (1.12.–17.12.2025 & 7.1.–31.3.2026):
· 100% advance payment must be made no later than 2 months before arrival. Advance payments are charged no earlier than 2 months before arrival. If the advance payment is not made by the due date, Minna-Carita’s reserves the right to cancel the reservation without prior notice.
Cancellations:
Cancellations made at least 4 weeks before arrival: €50 cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 4 weeks to 15 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee.
Cancellations made 14 days or less before arrival: 100% cancellation fee.
· All changes and cancellations must be made in writing via email. Cancellation by phone is not sufficient. The cancellation notice is considered received when it reaches the sales email (info@minnacaritas.fi) on the same calendar day.
Christmas & New Year's (18.12.2024 – 6.1.2025 and 18.12.2025 – 6.1.2026):
A 30% advance payment is due at the time of booking. If the advance payment is not made by the due date, Minna-Carita’s reserves the right to cancel the reservation without prior notice.
The final payment must be made by October 19, 2024.
For bookings made after October 19, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
A 100% cancellation fee applies if the cancellation is made after October 19, 2024.
Other Terms:
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected costs, such as illness. The accommodation provider is not obligated to accept a free cancellation based on a medical certificate or similar documentation.
Transfers:
A booking can be transferred upon request under the following conditions:
The transfer is only possible once.
The destination cannot be changed during the transfer.
The transfer must be made no later than [7] days before the original booking date.
A transfer fee of [50] EUR (including VAT, valid until 31.12.2024) applies.
If a transferred reservation is canceled, the full rental price is always charged, regardless of the cancellation date.
Seller’s Right to Cancel the Reservation
In case of force majeure, the seller may terminate the rental agreement. The seller will notify the customer immediately if this occurs.
The customer has the right to receive a full refund of the paid rental fee.
The seller is not liable for any costs the customer may incur due to the termination of the rental agreement due to force majeure.
Keys
Payment confirmation will include instructions for key pickup and collection.
If the key is lost or not returned, the owner has the right to charge for rekeying or lock changes, with a minimum charge of [250] EUR.
The seller may charge a minimum fee of [50] EUR if the property must be opened due to a lost or left-behind key.
Use of Property
The property is defined in the property description.
The customer has the right to use the property and its equipment during the rental period, as well as any specific services mentioned.
If the customer notices any issues or deficiencies with the property, they must immediately report them to the property management.
The customer is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the property and removing waste during and after the rental period.
The customer is responsible for the final cleaning of the property after the reservation ends. If the property is left uncleaned, the seller will charge for cleaning costs, starting at [75] EUR.
Pets are allowed only where specified, with an additional fee of 25 EUR per stay.
Special Conditions for Rental and Loan Equipment
The customer must familiarize themselves with safety and usage instructions for the equipment. The equipment must be used carefully and only for its intended purpose.
The customer is responsible for the return of the equipment in the same condition it was rented out, cleaned and on time.
The customer is responsible for any damage caused by negligence during the rental period and must compensate for any loss or destruction of equipment.
The rental provider is responsible for repairs due to normal wear and tear but not for indirect or direct costs caused by the failure or malfunction of the equipment.
Damage Compensation
The customer is responsible for any damage they cause to the property and any damage caused by other persons accompanying them during the booking period.
The seller is not liable for any damages caused by natural conditions such as insects, animals, icy roads, or unforeseen weather changes.
Complaints
Any complaints must be made as soon as possible after the issue arises.
If a satisfactory resolution is not reached or if a compensation claim is involved, the complaint must be submitted in writing within one month after the end of the rental period.
The seller will attempt to process the complaint as quickly as possible, but within a maximum of one month.
If the customer and the seller cannot reach an agreement, the customer may submit the dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board.
Delivery Terms
Formation of Agreement
A binding agreement is formed when the order is confirmed (order confirmation/payment confirmation).
The order confirmation/payment confirmation will be sent to the customer via email.
Order Cancellation and Return in case of products, like cutting boards and trays, shawls and jewellery
Products are subject to the 14-day right of return under consumer protection law.
The right of return is valid only if the product is in its original condition, and the packaging must also be in a saleable condition.
Contact the sales team for detailed return instructions.
The right of return does not apply to engraved or other personalized products, such as wool scarves, accommodation services, restaurant services, or other services booked for a specific time.
The customer is responsible for the ordinary costs of returning the product.
Product Warranty
We follow the warranty terms set by the manufacturer or importer.
Delivery Costs
Delivery charges include postage and packing fees. The customer can view the delivery costs after selecting the payment and delivery method in the shopping cart. UPS Standard payment method is available only for international deliveries and is the only delivery method outside Finland, if not agreed differently between the parties before the purchase.
Payment Terms
The seller uses reliable and secure payment processors for services.
The seller does not store any bank account or credit card details at any time.
The customer agrees to adhere to the terms of the chosen payment method.
Payment by Invoice
· The invoice must be paid by the due date indicated on the invoice.
Late payment fees are always added to invoices paid after the due date. If the invoice is paid after the due date using the original invoice and late payment fees have already accrued, the fees will be invoiced separately.
If the payment process is not successfully completed at the time of order, the merchant will not process the order.
